    "
Between the Known and Unknown: New Guinea Art from Astrolabe Bay to Morobe” is the catalog that accompanied my exhibition at the Parcours des Mondes show in Paris, September 2016. It focuses on the art primarily from Morobe Province in Papua New Guinea where often the only recognizable objects come from the Tami Islands—yet this a large and populous area with several other unknown but intriguing areas that produced art. This catalog attempts to show a large number of examples from the known areas of the Huon Gulf and Astrolabe Bay but also from many of the little known areas such as the Markham Valley and the remote regions of the Finisterre, Saruwaged and Rawlinson Mountain Ranges. There are essays by nine scholars and over 180 objects illustrated—from both museum and private collections. The catalog is hardcover, 304 pages in length."
