An extraordinary example of a sterling silver sugar vase or covered bowl Pattern "Carmel"  by Wallace American Silversmiths.  Weighing 388 grams or 11.5 Troy OZ, this elegant bowl measures 5 1/4" tall, 7 " across the handle, 5" wide.  It is elegantly monogramed on the front with the letter "G".  This bowl is in excellent condition with no signs of repair or machine polishing.  It has been hand polished to bring out its beautiful original luster with patina remaining around and accenting the beautiful design. A 1mm ding noted to the edge of the lid  and hairline scratches commensurate with age.  There are struck hallmarks to the bottom with Wallace Silver (partially worn), Sterling, 1 Wallace (first set) and 2806-6.  This is a very difficult pattern to find!
