    Tax Anticipation Scrip as a Form of Local Currency in the USA during the 1930s
    The New Jersey Legislature authorized local governments to pass resolutions approving issuance of interest-bearing scrip for use in payment of their obligations.  The scrip was made redeemable at
    a future date, and was accepted in payment of taxes.
    Depression scrip was used during the depression era of the 1930's as a substitute for government
    issued currency.  Because of the banks closing temporarily and the lack of physical currency,
    someone had to come up with another form of currency to keep the economy going and a way for
    trade to continue.  Therefore the old idea of local currency was reborn.
    Sure you might be able to find other one's out there if you look hard enough.
    BUT YOU CAN'T FIND THEM IN THIS GREAT QUALITY CONDITION ~
    That's the reason they are "RARE" and Highly Sought After ~
    Once they are in collection's or in use ~
    THEY ARE OUT OF CIRCULATION ~ DON'T LET THESE SLIP BY ~
    You don't want to put your foot in your butt later on for not fighting for them.
