    Description

    NGC authenticated and graded VG 8. Olive and chocolate browns with an arc of dentils from a cut down large cent on each side. Otherwise smooth and problem free. The letters AME are also visible under the cap. Breen Die State III, Manley Die State 1.0 with the tiny "wart" break at the chin. The fourth finest in the Breen-Hanson Condition Census, none grade finer than VG. Gripped Edge, Low Head. 79.2 grains. Only 15 examples of Gripped Edge pieces are known today, all on cut down large cents.
